Baghdad First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi discussed with the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq Ali Adib Al-Habhab the revival of more than twenty agreements and memoranda of understanding that Iraq had signed with the Lebanese state.

Al-Mandalawi called, according to a statement to his media office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work with its Lebanese counterpart and other concerned parties to put these agreements and understandings into effect, and to push the wheel of economic, cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

He added, “The recent amendment to the investment law will increase the openness of Lebanese companies to investment opportunities in several fields, and proceed with the project of establishing a joint free trade zone and expanding the volume of trade exchange,” calling on Beirut to facilitate the procedures for students studying in Lebanese universities as well as the Iraqi community.
