Al-Sadr Commends Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Proposes Measures Against Zionist Occupation

BAGHDAD: Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist movement, praised the outcomes of the Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh and proposed a ten-point plan to counter the Zionist occupation. Al-Sadr’s statements come in the wake of the summit’s stance on the situation in Palestine.

According to National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), In a tweet, Al-Sadr commended the Islamic and Arab countries for their united condemnation of the actions of the Zionist forces against Palestine and their call to end the siege on civilians. He expressed hope that this summit would mark the beginning of ongoing and active opposition to the Zionist aggression, especially against Gaza.

Al-Sadr’s proposals include declaring a state of alert for Islamic and Arab armies, enforcing a comprehensive economic boycott of Israel, halting oil supplies to Israel, closing Israeli embassies, delivering medical aid to Gaza, threatening countries supporting Israel, stopping pro-Israeli rhetoric within Arab and Islamic countries, encouraging public demonstrations for Gaza, supporting the Palestinian resistance in negotiations, and criminalizing the Zionist entity and its leaders.
