Al-Sadr: The rise in the price of the dollar should never be a rise in market prices

Najaf The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, said: The rise in the price of the dollar should never be a rise in market prices, especially with regard to important commodities that the people need.

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, commented on the recent rise in the price of the dollar, and its repercussions on the various classes of the people, calling on the government to deal firmly with all violators, regardless of the perpetrator.

He said in the text of a tweet to him on his Twitter site, “after the rise in the exchange rates of the dollar, and the benefits and harms in it, its rise should not at all be a rise in market prices, especially with regard to the important commodities that the people need in their daily life at all.

Al-Sadr added, “Indeed, we should work through economic security to punish all merchants, and in accordance with the law, especially as we are approaching the blessed month: (the month of Ramadan), calling on the government to “deal with all violators firmly, no matter who the perpetrator is.”

Al-Sadr called on the merchants to take into account the people, not their money, and not to deal with greed. They are responsible before God, the people, and before us as a whole. The important thing is for the people to live with dignity, pride and luxury, and the poor class must be taken into consideration, which hardly gets its daily sustenance through the ration card and by not increasing the price of important basic commodities, especially vegetables, grains, construction prices. If there is a claimed benefit from the rise in the exchange rates of the dollar, it should not be at the expense of the people, the poor, the destitute and the needy, otherwise it will inevitably be unjust.
