Al-Sudani assures the British Minister of State of Iraq’s serious desire to build balanced and distinguished relations regionally and internationally

Baghdad, The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, received today, Tuesday, the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Tariq Ahmed, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Sudani office, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and enhancing prospects for joint cooperation in various fields and levels.

The Prime Minister affirmed Iraq’s serious desire to build balanced and distinguished relations with the regional and international environment, pointing to the government’s aspiration to expand the frameworks of fruitful and constructive cooperation with Britain, in several sectors, in order to raise the level of relations between the two friendly countries.

For his part, the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of the British Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to the Prime Minister, and his country’s aspiration for more cooperation with Iraq, and the United Kingdom’s readiness to support Iraq in the field of economy and security, and to support the government’s reform and development program.
