Al-Sudani returns to the capital, Baghdad, after concluding his visit to Maysan Governorate

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani returned to the capital, Baghdad, after concluding his visit to Maysan Governorate today, Thursday.

The visit included the opening of two installed units (capacity of 100 megawatts each) at the Amarah gas power station, the opening of Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital in Maysan Governorate with a capacity of 492 beds, the announcement of the implementation of an integrated University City project in Maysan, and guidance in the preparation of designs by specialized international companies.

The visits also included announcing the implementation of two 100-bed hospital projects in Al-Majar Al-Kabeer district and Ali Al-Sharqi district in Maysan Governorate, announcing the implementation of a sewage water treatment plant project in Maysan Governorate, and the disbursement of compensation for floods for previous years, amounting to 90 billion dinars, for the affected people from the governorate.

It also included announcing that public bidding for the modern goldsmiths’ market in Maysan Governorate would be limited to practitioners of the profession from the Sabean-Mandaean component, and directing the Minister of Oil to solve the problem of engineers from Maysan Governorate.

During the visit, a meeting was held with officials of the service departments to discuss the service situation in Maysan Governorate, a meeting with members of the House of Representatives for Maysan Governorate, a discussion of ways to advance the situation in the governorate, a meeting with the sheikhs and notables of Maysan Governorate, and an expanded security meeting with the security leaders in Maysan./ End
