Al-Zamili Calls On The Security And Military Establishment To Preserve The Security Of The Country And Prevent All Forms Of Internal And External Threats

Baghdad The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, called on the security and military institution to maintain the country’s security and prevent all forms of internal and external threats.

A statement by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament’s media office said that today, Sunday, Al-Zamili visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, during which he met the Minister of Defense, Jumaa Inad, and the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Yarallah.

Al-Zamili called on the security and military establishment to preserve the security of the country and prevent all forms of internal and external threats, which aim to strike the sovereignty and interests of Iraq, and threaten the future and lives of Iraqis, stressing that the House of Representatives will support the legislation of the Ministry of Defense law that defines the tasks and duties of this important ministry that is concerned with preserving the country and its people.

During the two separate meetings, the First Deputy Speaker discussed the importance of approving the alternative system to do justice to a large segment of officers and military personnel , indicating that the House of Representatives is strongly supportive of the work of the Ministry of Defense and will allocate in the next budget everything the ministry needs in terms of armament, equipment and training to enhance its role in the next stage. .

Important positions in the ministry were also discussed and the need to be in accordance with standards of integrity and professional competence, and to stay away from partisan and factional influences in this matter.
