Baghdad – The independent candidate, Thaer Munir Al-Zubaidi, stressed the importance of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, to be held tomorrow, Saturday, in enhancing security and stability in Iraq and the region.
He said in a press statement that the Iraqis are waiting for positive results from the conference, with the support of Iraq and non-interference in its internal affairs.
Al-Zubaidi hoped that the conference would produce results that would reflect positively on the current situation of the country, and that it would not be only a media conference and not be translated on the ground.
He called for there to be decisions and results to be announced after the conference and not to be compliments or to achieve goals far from the national level of the country.
Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty of Iraq’s land and people, not interfering in its internal affairs, and supporting it economically through the entry of sober companies and the employment of Iraqi manpower.
Al-Zubaidi called on neighboring countries in particular to return the debt to the country that opened its markets for their goods and products by actively participating in rehabilitating factories and opening its markets for Iraqi goods and products in accordance with the principle of trade and economic exchange.
