Iraq has set up a plan and a program to combat corruption and the international community will be informed of it, said Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq.

He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) on the sidelines of the opening of the reconstruction conference of Iraq “before coming to Kuwait a program and a plan to fight corruption has been set up, and the international community will be informed on the management of projects that will result from this conference, and another track will be followed in the implementation of the projects, not by the traditional track, where central committees and committees specialized in this subject will be formed under international supervision.

He added, “There will be international guarantees for investors and lenders in Iraq, and there will be easy conditions and their benefits are simple because of those guarantees,”

He pointed out that the projects divided into two parts, the first joint with the World Bank, and the other with the United Nations, and the option will be for the countries where to put their money, and then a special program will be prepared to prepare and start work.
