Algerian athlete withdraws from the “Tokyo 2020” Olympics to avoid confrontation with Israel

Baghdad Algerian player Fathi Noureddine announced his official withdrawal from the “Tokyo 2020” Olympic Games for judo competitions, after he was drawn against an Israeli player.

Noureddine withdrew, despite his qualification to the second round, but the draw for the second round pitted him against an Israeli player, to directly announce his withdrawal from the tournament.
