Baghdad Head of the Civil National Front (MOUJ) Iyad Allawi received today the French Ambassador in Baghdad Eric Chevalier.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Allawi’s office, they discussed the latest developments in the regional arena and ways to achieve security and stability there.

Allawi praised France’s supportive stance for Arab causes and its efforts in combating terrorism and extremism.

In the meeting, a number of local files, especially the elections to be held on the tenth of this month, were also discussed, and the need to provide an appropriate environment to ensure that they were conducted with integrity.
