An Egyptian journalist: The tripartite summit will put the dots above the hot letters of the founding members of the new Sham Alliance

Baghdad The managing editor of the Middle East News Agency, an expert in regional affairs, Mahmoud Al-Shennawi, confirmed that the tripartite summit tomorrow will put dots on hot letters regarding a number of fateful issues for the founding members of the new Sham Alliance.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the Egyptian-Jordanian-Iraqi summit to be held in Baghdad on Sunday is the third of its kind, as the first summit among the three leaders was held in Cairo in March 2019, followed by a second summit in New York in September of the same year. This summit is of exceptional importance, especially after it was postponed twice due to internal circumstances in both Egypt and Jordan.

Al-Shennawi added that this summit, will place dots above the hot letters, regarding a number of crucial issues for the founding members of the new Sham Alliance, in addition to the possibility of including new members, as the talk was about that Lebanon might join this summit later, but the economic conditions and the state of obstruction in the political horizon that the brotherly country is going through may delay this accession.

He explained there is talk about the possibility of including Syria, especially after the relative stability that has become palpable, in addition to the re-election of President Bashar al-Assad for a new presidential term. There is also talk about the annexation of Yemen, but the matter of this accession will remain postponed until stability returns to the war torn country in which it is located.

Regarding the most important files that are expected to be discussed, Al-Shinnawi continued that the leaders are expected to discuss the practical steps of the new Levant project, in addition to activating the bilateral agreements concluded with Iraq at all levels of cooperation, with the aim of maximizing the return from these agreements.
