An infiltrator was arrested with a large amount of narcotic pills south of Basra

A joint force from the Fourth Region Border Command arrested an accused Iraqi infiltrator, and seized a large amount of narcotic pills in his possession, south of Basra.

A source in the Command told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that a joint force from the Coast Border Command and the Intelligence Division of the Command managed to arrest the accused and seized in his possession a large amount of narcotic pills (Tramadol) with an amount of money.

He added, “The operation came after setting up an elaborate ambush by the force carrying out the duty, and according to intelligence information indicating the existence of a smuggling operation within the coastal border area in Al-Faw district, south of Basra
