An Iraqi Bright And Influential Presence In The Abu Dhabi International Oud Forum

Abu Dhabi In cooperation with the professor of Arab Oud, the Iraqi musician Naseer Shamma, the second session of the International Oud Forum in its 18th session, under the patronage of the main partner Mubadala Investment Company, will start today, which includes 7 episodes in a television structure, broadcast through the digital platforms of the Festival Abu Dhabi with the participation of 27 Oud players from 14 countries, to perform many different pieces made especially for the Oud.

The International Oud Forum, which brings together distinguished elite of Arab Oud players, including the Iraqi Oud player Sadiq Jaafar, extends over the period from May 25 to June 15, and provides special insights from academics with experience in the field of music and arts, and the history and development of the Oud instrument, among them is the Iraqi artist, the Oud player Sadiq Jaafar.

Huda Ibrahim Al-Khamis, founder of the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts, founder and artistic director of the Abu Dhabi Festival, said: The organization of the International Oud Forum is an embodiment of the vision of the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts to raise cultural awareness and societal taste, build bridges of communication with others, and support artistic mobility and the Arab and international musical heritage.
