Baquba An irrigation source in Diyala predicted the flow of water torrents in the border areas during the coming hours.

The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The regions east and north-east of Baquba will witness strong torrents of water in light of the weather reports of heavy rain in those areas during the coming hours.”

He added: “The flow of torrents will lead to an increase in the amount of water flowing towards Hamrin Lake and will revive the strategic water storage in Diyala, which will feed about 70% of its areas in times of drought,” stressing: “The torrents will be strong in the areas of the Hamrin Basin, Jalawla, and the Oil Valley near the border strip east of Baquba.
