An Unprecedented Increase In The Number Of Coronavirus Deaths In Australia

Baghdad Australia recorded, today, Tuesday, the largest number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, with daily infections declining slightly.

And official Australian data showed: Australia is witnessing its worst waves of the spread of Covid-19, which is fueled by the mutated Omicron strain of the Coronavirus, which has raised rates of hospitalization and intensive care for patients more than at any time since the start of the pandemic.

It added that 74 deaths were recorded in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, the most populous Australian states, exceeding the previous record of 57 cases recorded last Thursday.

It pointed out that unvaccinated young people make up a large number of cases admitted to hospitals in the country.

Australia has recorded about 1.6 million infections since the start of the pandemic, including about 1.3 million in the past two weeks.

The total number of deaths reached 2757.
