Antiquities And Heritage Department Of Najaf Receives More Than 200 Archaeological Finds Dating Back To Different Eras

Najaf The Department of Antiquities and Heritage of Najaf announced today, Monday, that it has received more than 200 pieces and archaeological finds from citizens dating back to different eras.

The director of the department, Asaad Hisham, said, “The archaeological finds that were received are a proud brick with a cuneiform text, a pottery human face, a large copper urn, copper pots and lamps of various shapes and sizes, small stone statues of different shapes, stone and copper pieces of different shapes and sizes, animal stone dolls and metal coins.

Hisham added, “These pieces date back to different historical periods, including the Babylonian and the Sassanian.
