Baghdad The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 25 foreigners for violating the conditions of residence in the country, at a time when an event hall in central Baghdad was closed.
In a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / a copy of it, the Interior Ministry said: “The Directorate of Residency Affairs carried out a joint duty in coordination with the second regiment in the 15th Federal Police Brigade to inspect and investigate violators of the residency conditions in Iraq.
It indicated that this duty resulted in the arrest of 25 violators of various Arab and foreign nationalities due to the expiry of their residency, indicating that appropriate legal measures were taken in their regard.
In a separate statement, the Ministry of the Interior stated that joint detachments from the Tourist Security in the Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry and the 15th Federal Police Brigade carried out a duty to implement a judicial order to close one of the night event halls on Al-Nidal Street in Al-Saadoun area in central Baghdad, for violating the instructions issued by the Tourism Authority and the preventive conditions to be followed, confirming that the necessary legal measures are taken.
