Arrests Made at Basra and Najaf Airports for Smuggling Bank Cards

Baghdad – Iraqi border forces have made significant arrests at Basra and Najaf airports, apprehending four individuals with 65 bank cards loaded with funds intended for smuggling.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, The Ministry of Interior stated that the Basra Airport Customs Police Station and the Najaf Airport Customs Police Station, both under the respective regional customs police directorates, successfully intercepted the defendants. The seized bank cards were prepared for smuggling, highlighting ongoing efforts to curb illegal financial activities at key transit points. A proper seizure report was prepared, and the confiscated items were referred to the competent authorities for further action.
