Assistant Coach Of Iraqi National Football Team: We Are Waiting For The Green Light To Start Preparation Journey

Baghdad The assistant coach of the Iraqi national football team, Rahim Hamid, confirmed that the destination of the external camp has not officially decided so far, pointing out: “Qualifying for the World Cup requires good preparation and appropriate tactics to reach the desired goal.”

Hamid said to the official agency (INA), today, Monday: “The technical staff of the team is awaiting the decision of the normalization body to resolve the location of the camp, which it is hoped to set up in Spain,” noting that “the camp will witness the presence of ready expatriate players, and there is a group of names presented to the coach in coordination with the head of the Expatriate Committee to choose the most appropriate one”.

He added: “The Dutch coach, Dick Advocaat, has a lot of experience and has previously trained many big teams, and we seek to devote this experience to serving Iraqi football.”

He continued, “Qualifying for the World Cup depends on the good preparation of the team, the appropriate tactics, and the selection of friendly matches, and this responsibility rests with the players, management and technical staff, as well as the media, to reach the desired goal.”
