Kirkuk Detachments of the Kirkuk Governorate Security Directorate were able to arrest a gang specialized in kidnapping and luring, and seized large sums of money in an operation that is the largest since the beginning of this year.

A security source confirmed, in a statement to NINA, that after receiving information about a gang engaged in kidnapping and extortion on 6/10/2021 that lured the missing so-called (NA.A.H.K) in her possession (150,000,000) dinars and after obtaining judicial approvals, and with the intensification of intelligence efforts, a tight ambush was set up on the main road of Kirkuk-Baghdad, and the vehicle of the type (Chrysler C 300) numbered (32089F-Baghdad) was seized, the driver (R.R.B.B.) and inside it the missing woman without the amount of money and after questioning the driver, he confessed to the rest of the gang members, as he stated that they are in the Sulaymaniyah governorate, and after obtaining the approvals of the National Security Agency and following up the Kirkuk Security Director in coordination with the security authorities in the Sulaymaniyah governorate, as on 6/15/2021 the detachments were directed from Kirkuk security to there and they arrested the accused (M.Q.M.) born in 2001, the accused (S.A.M.) and the accused (M.R.B.A.) in their possession of (3600) US dollars, and after questioning them, they stated that the rest of the amount was in Baghdad Immediately, detachments from the Kirkuk Security Directorate headed and arrested the accused (S.N.A.C) in Baghdad governorate in the Cairo neighborhood and in his possession an amount of (70,000) US dollars, and they were brought and arrested at the headquarters of the Kirkuk Security Directorate in accordance with Article (422 P.C).
