Baghdad The price of Basra crude has risen during the past week, after 30% of US crude oil production was halted as a result of Hurricane Ida, which led to an increase in demand for oil, so that Basra crude earned $1.24 in a week.
Although Basra crude fell in the last session on Friday, by 30 cents to reach $74.47, it achieved weekly gains of $1.24 a barrel, equivalent to 1.69%.
Brent crude fell in the last session by 0.44% to reach $72.92 a barrel, but it also achieved profits of $2.42, or 3.32% in a week.
The US West Texas Intermediate crude was also settled down by 0.88%, to reach $71.97 a barrel, recording a weekly profit of $2.25, or 3.23%
