Basra Municipality discusses with the delegation of the United Nations Organization for Human Settlements the reality of services in the governorate

Basra The Directorate of Basra Municipality discussed with the delegation of the United Nations Organization for Human Settlements (Habitot) the service reality in the governorate.

The Director of Basra Municipality, Engineer Ali Ismail Al-Moussawi, said in a statement, “a meeting was held with the delegation of the United Nations, complementing the previous meetings, in agreement with the local government to discuss a three-year program to provide services in Basra Governorate to unserved areas and human settlements, and the local government is unable to provide services in them, as the regions are random.

He added, “the services include streets, sewage and water, and this service is provided to them in a simple way, and not as official projects only to facilitate their affairs.

Al-Moussawi pointed out that the proposed areas are Al-Ahrar neighborhood and Al-Kubiya, and the third area will be announced later, “pointing out that these are not radical solutions, but temporary solutions.”/
