Basra The Basra Operations Command carried out the first exercise in protecting electoral centers in northern Basra.

The commander of Basra operations, Major General Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Majidi, said in a statement, “A security force from the Commandos Brigade carried out an exercise for the local defense plan for electoral centers, which consists of 72 electoral centers within the third constituency, which included the areas of Al-Hartha district.”

The Operations Commander indicated that the purpose of the exercise is to determine the readiness of the security forces first, and second, to check the areas adjacent to the polling stations, the outer squares and the parking garage, and gather intelligence information.
