Biden: I have fulfilled my commitment to end the war in Afghanistan

Baghdad US President Joe Biden praised the completion of the evacuation of US forces from Afghanistan, describing it as an “exceptional achievement.”

In a speech to the American people, Biden said, “I have fulfilled my commitment to end the war in Afghanistan.”

He added, “We faced threats in Afghanistan from last March until the start of the evacuations, and we believe that between 100 and 200 Americans remained in Afghanistan, and most of them hold dual nationalities.”

He stressed, “The United States will remain committed to the expulsion of the remaining Americans, after it succeeded with its partners in evacuating more than 100,000 Afghans.”
