Civil Defense puts out a fire in a commercial building in central Baghdad

Baghdad The Civil Defense Directorate announced that the fire that broke out inside an eleven-storey commercial building has been extinguished in the Rasheed Street area in central Baghdad.

The Directorate said in a statement received by “NINA” that its teams pushed with the weight of specialized firefighting vehicles and support to combat the flames burning on the third and fourth floors of the building, and rescued its other floors before the fire hit them, and completed the work of suppression and cooling without recording human casualties while limiting material damage.

The Civil Defense requested to open an investigation and summon a forensic expert to collect samples and determine the causes of the fire.
