Claims to secure the border of fire between Diyala and Salah al-Din

Baquba The leader of the Tribal Mobilization Forces, Muhammad Ibrahim Dheifan, confirmed that the security operations and practices carried out by the security forces are useless without keeping a permanent presence between the governorates of Diyala and Salah al-Din, which represent the borders of fire due to ISIS control over them, especially in partitions within the responsibilities of Salah al-Din Governorate.

He told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today that the terrorists of ISIS are returning to their hideouts in the borders of Al-Adhaim in Salah Al-Din after hours of security operations and their withdrawal. He stressed the need to “hold the borders and end the attacks from time to time.”

Dheifan called for “the establishment of security points along the border strip between Al-Adhaim and Salah Al-Din to confront terrorist attacks,” noting that “the borders of Diyala within Al-Adhaim district are under control, but the Salah Al-Din borders are still moving and limited detachments of ISIS attack the villages and security points, demanding “the adoption of a new and permanent security strategy to address the borders of fire between Al-Adhaim and Salah Al-Din.”
