The International Coalition forces continue to train Iraqi Army Special Forces on heavy weapons at Camp Taji.

“Coalition forces are training and qualifying the Iraqi army to increase their combat capabilities in various fields,” the Defense Department said in a statement, added “Iraqi army special forces continue their heavy weapons training with their Australian counterparts at the Taji training camp north of Baghdad.

The elite forces are composed of selected personnel who are trained in a much more complex and difficult manner than regular soldiers in the security forces to build a rapid response force for the Iraqi army.
