Commission for Human Rights In Iraq Calls For Declaring A State Of Health Emergency In Iraq

The Commission for Human Rights in Iraq called on the Prime Minister to declare a state of health emergency and start a comprehensive campaign to distribute the vaccine to citizens, whether through mobile teams or campaigns to distribute it to all state employees.

A member of the Commission’s Council, Fadel Al-Gharawi, indicated that “the worsening situation of infections with the Coronavirus pandemic portends a major health disaster,” noting that “the citizen’s lack of commitment to the requirements of prevention and the poor health awareness of the citizen, and his insistence not to take the vaccine, exacerbated this situation.”

Al-Gharawi stressed, in a press statement, the need to issue a health passport for vaccination, which serves as a document for every citizen, and to launch an intense media campaign to urge citizens to take the vaccine in order to preserve their lives and remove the danger facing them
