Baghdad The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate announced that 9 bodies of flood victims were found, bringing the total death toll in the country to 58 persons.
“We proceed from the fact that we were able to identify nine more victims,” Rhineland-Palatinate Interior Minister Roger Levins was quoted by SWR television as saying.
“As a result of the natural disaster in western Germany, at least 58 people died,” he added.
The German authorities announced, earlier, that “at least 44 people died and dozens of others went missing today, Thursday, as a result of floods caused by record rains in Western Europe.”
