Baghdad Deputy Parliament Speaker Shakhwan Abdullah affirmed that the Parliament continues to support the military and security institutions with the legislation and laws in force.

A statement by his media office said that Abdullah received, today, Wednesday, Lieutenant-General Shihab Jahid Hama Khan, Commander of the Iraqi Air Force and Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Shwan Mazhar Ali.

the statement added, that during the meeting, which was attended by Representative Shwan Muhammad Rostom, a number of topics and issues of common interest were discussed.

Abdullah affirmed the Council’s continued support for the military and security institutions with the legislation and laws in force, and its full support for the Air Force, and urging the government to meet its requirements and needs to carry out the tasks and duties within its great responsibilities towards the country to establish the pillars of security and stability in all governorates of Iraq.
