Baquba A military force detonated two explosive devices and seized a cache of explosive and logistical materials in the northeastern part of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate.
A military source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that a force from the Fifth Army Division carried out a raid and search operation in the orchards of Hamandaliya in the northern Muqdadiya sector, northeast of Baqubah, which resulted in the discovery of two explosive devices that were detonated locally by the military engineering effort.
He added, during the operation, a cache was found containing explosive materials, detonators and quantities of various bullets, in addition to logistical materials and food supplies, indicating that the operation was carried out based on intelligence information.
