Baquba Government and security sources in Diyala denied the news that talked about the escape of wanted persons on the blacklist to Iran.

The sources told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “What was reported on social media about the escape of wanted persons on the black list to Iran is untrue, and there are no official confirmations of their escape to Iran or any neighboring country.”

They added: “all the names of the wanted persons have been circulated to the airports and border crossings for the purpose of tracking them down.”

They indicated: “The security services and the intelligence effort are working with exceptional effort through monitoring and follow-up for the purpose of arresting all wanted persons in Diyala, whether on criminal or terrorist charges.”
