Diyala Health Department Calls On Citizens To Go To Vaccination Outlets To Avoid Omicron Entering The Governorate

Baquba Diyala Health Department issued an urgent directive to avoid the transmission of the Omicron mutant to the governorate.

The Director of Diyala Health Information, Faris Al-Azzawi, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the department issued an urgent directive to all travelers outside the country from Diyala people or coming from Kurdistan on the importance of conducting medical examinations in order to reassure them that they are not infected with the omicron. Pointing out that failure to adhere to preventive measures will lead us to the unknown, and this is what we fear.

He added that the department has taken all measures to provide wings to receive any increase in infections with the Coronavirus, with a noticeable increase in its daily rates. He stressed that the department had not recorded any infection with the omicron. He called on citizens to go to vaccination centers to take doses, because they represent an important defensive line in avoiding a rise in cases of coronavirus disease.
