Baghdad The Diyala Operations Command carried out a military operation in the name of the heroic martyr Colonel Yasser Al-Jourani.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that the Diyala Operations Command carried out a military operation in the Hamrin mountain range in the name of the heroic martyr Colonel Yasser Al-Jourani, and under the supervision of the Operations Commander, which resulted in the discovery of a number of caches and explosive devices, which were detonated under the control of the engineering unit of the First Division.
The statement added that the engineering unit had an effective role in opening new roads in the mountain chain, to facilitate the movement of the units and maintain communication among them, and the army’s aviation had a distinguished role in assigning the land forces.
