Diyala police denies the existence of threats against some medical personnel in the province

Baquba, The Diyala Police Command denied reports circulating about threats against some medical personnel in the province.

The command stated in a statement that, after communicating with the head of the Diyala Doctors Syndicate, Murtada Ibrahim Al-Khazraji, who confirmed that there was no explicit threat preventing the provision of humanitarian services to patients in hospitals and outpatient clinics.

For his part, Diyala Police Commander Major General Alaa Gharib said that the police command will spare no effort to ensure protection for all government institutions and departments and to maintain the security of citizens in all areas of the province.
