Diyala: A Diyala Police force seized two trucks loaded with used iron prepared for smuggling to the northern regions. Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Media for the Diyala Police, reported the successful interception.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police force, during a night security operation carried out on the Khanaqin-Muqdadiyah road, northeast of Baqubah, seized two trucks carrying more than 40 tons of used iron prepared for smuggling. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.

Brigadier General Al-Shammari further detailed that legal measures were taken against the drivers of the two trucks. The drivers, along with the seized material, were sent to detention centers for further investigation and processing. This operation underscores the commitment of Diyala Police to prevent smuggling activities in their jurisdiction.
