Double Security Measures At The Entrances To Kurdistan To Prevent Entry Of Imported Wheat Into Diyala

Baquba / NINA / – The security services in Diyala have doubled their precautionary measures at the entrances to cities with Kurdistan to prevent the entry of imported wheat into the governorate.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that strict security orders were issued to double the procedures at the entrances to the cities of Khanaqin, Jalawla, Saadiya and Qara Tabba, near the borders of Kurdistan, to thoroughly inspect trucks in order to prevent the entry of imported wheat into Diyala.

He added that, in the past weeks, security checkpoints seized tens of tons of imported wheat at the entrances to the cities’ land roads, and that legal measures were taken against truck drivers./End
