Baghdad Forces affiliated with the Baghdad Operations Command arrested, today, Tuesday, 57 people accused of possessing unlicensed weapons.
The command stated in a statement that the joint detachments under the Operations Command managed, through their patrols deployed on both sides of Baghdad Karkh and Rusafa, during the past 72 hours, to arrest 31 accused of possessing and trading narcotic drugs and 26 accused of possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition.
It added that 15 grams of crystal and its abuse devices were seized, along with a quantity of narcotic pills and various unlicensed medicines.
It indicated the seizure of various weapons and equipment, and forged badges.
It explained that the arrested persons and the seized materials were referred to the competent authorities to take legal measures against them.
