Emergency landing of a Bahraini plane in Erbil due to a heart attack

Baghdad A Bahraini plane, bound for Paris, made an emergency landing at Erbil Airport because a member of the hospitality crew suffered a heart attack.

Gulf Air stated that flight No. GF19 from Bahrain International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Tuesday changed its course to land in Erbil, Iraq.

The change of the plane’s flight path came due to a sudden heart attack to a member of the flight crew, who died in Erbil.

The Director of Erbil International Airport, Ahmed Hoshyar, said, “A plane that was heading from Bahrain to Paris, landed at 3:55 this morning at Erbil International Airport, due to a heart attack for a person.”

He added that he died after being taken to the hospital.
