Istanbul (NINA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed his country’s support for the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates, and the security of the Gulf region in general.
The Turkish President said in a tweet about his visit to the United Arab Emirates: “We successfully concluded our visit to the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and during the meetings we held, we showed a strong joint will in terms of developing relations and increasing investments, and we signed 13 cooperation agreements.”
Erdogan expressed his confidence that the signed agreements will strengthen the ground for cooperation between the two countries.
The Turkish President said: “We support the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates. We do not differentiate between our security and the security of the Gulf region.”
He added, “We also welcome the mutual will with regard to maintaining the momentum that has been achieved in our cooperative relations and moving forward with that, and we are determined to continue exerting efforts on the basis of respect and mutual trust for our common interests and the future of our region.”
The Turkish President returned yesterday evening to Ankara from a two-day visit to the UAE capital at the head of a ministerial delegation.
