Firefighting Teams Put Out A Fire Broke Out In One Of The Ships Anchored In Umm Qasr Port

The firefighting teams of the General Company for Ports of Iraq put out a fire that broke out in one of the foreign ships anchored in the northern port of Umm Qasr.

The general manager of the company, Eng. Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement to the company’s media, “The fire broke out in a generator belonging to the foreign ship (Ivory) moored at berth 27 at Umm Qasr Port. He praised the quick response of the marine, technical and firefighting crews to the accident and put it out at a record speed.

He added that the fire did not lead to human casualties or material damage, except for some wires of the ship’s electric generator
