FM Discusses With The Assistant Secretary-General Of The OIC Strengthening Iraq’s Role Within The Organization

Baghdad Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed with the Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Youssef bin Muhammad Al-Dubaie, the strengthening of Iraq’s role within the organization due to its wide power and influence in the Arab and Islamic region.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Minister received, today, Wednesday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Youssef bin Muhammad Al-Dubaie, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the Minister thanked the Iraqi government’s keenness to provide support to the organization’s office in Baghdad.

During the meeting, according to the statement, they discussed the work of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and ways to play a greater role in the near future in light of the conditions experienced by the countries of the Islamic world, and to enhance Iraq’s role within the organization due to its strength and wide influence in the Arab and Islamic region.”
