Baghdad Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein called on the two parties to the conflict (Azerbaijan and Armenia) to rely on negotiations and adopt political solutions to resolve the dispute between them, based on the principles of international law and international resolutions.

During his meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, the minister said: “Our wishes for the two parties to the conflict to return to the negotiating table,” adding: “From our previous experiences, as a result of the region’s exposure to many wars, and based on our principles of violence and war, we do not see a way to reach the goals.”

For his part, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister briefed the minister on the picture of the crisis between the two countries, the historical roots of the conflict, and the current state of war.
