Foreign Ministry Condemns Any Action Considered Destabilizing To Security And Stability Of Iraq

Baghdad The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically condemned any action considered destabilizing the security and stability of Iraq, especially the targeting of the Green Zone in the capital, Baghdad, by missiles yesterday.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “As we renew our commitment to providing security and protection for diplomatic missions and adopting all guarantees to facilitate their work in accordance with what is stipulated in international conventions, we affirm the Iraqi government’s measures to prosecute the perpetrators and punish them in accordance with the law.”

It added, “The security and stability of Iraq is not an option, but an inevitable path that reflects the presence of the state, its institutions, and the security of its society.”
