Baqubah – A distressing road accident northeast of Baqubah, in Diyala Governorate Center, claimed the life of a former local dignitary.

According to the National Iraqi News Agency, A security representative, communicating with the National Iraqi News Agency, disclosed that the previous chair of Al-Wajhiya district’s local council, Khurshid Al-Dawoodi, alongside his son and another individual, met a tragic end in a two-vehicle crash on the Baqubah-Muqdadiya route. The same source noted that the deceased were moved to forensic medicine, and traffic officials have commenced a probe into the incident.
