Baghdad France has expressed its desire to hold the meetings of the joint committee with Iraq to strengthen relations between the two sides in various fields.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Ministry’s Senior Undersecretary, Nizar Al-Khairallah, received the French Ambassador, Eric Chevalier, and discussed with him the latest developments related to the development of cooperation relations between Iraq and France, the developments of the political situation in the internal arena of Iraq and the efforts to form the new Iraqi government.
Al-Khairallah stressed that efforts are being made by the Iraqi political parties to form the government as soon as possible.
For his part, the French Ambassador expressed during the meeting his country’s desire to develop joint cooperation with Iraq in all fields, at the bilateral and multilateral levels through the relationship with the European Union, of which France is currently chairing. He also affirmed his country’s desire to hold meetings of the Iraqi-French joint committee to strengthen relations in various fields.”
