The head of the University of Mosul, Abi Said al- Duweiji announced on Tuesday that France pledged to allocate three million dollars for the rehabilitation of the universities of Mosul and Nineveh.
Al-Duweiji told (NINA) that the French ambassador in Baghdad, Bruno Aubert told him when he visited the university recently about France’s commitment to this allocation and his country’s commitment to support the reconstruction and stability efforts in the city of Mosul.
Al-Duweiji added: The French ambassador, during his meeting with the Chairman of the Advisory Group for the reconstruction of the city of Mosul, Muzahim Al-Khayyat, renewed France’s pledge to assist in the reconstruction of the University of Mosul and the reconstruction projects in the reconstruction of the city during the next phase.
