Baghdad The Government Media Cell stressed the importance of unifying and coordinating the government effort to support the Ministry of Health in facing the third wave of the pandemic.
The cell said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it: “It is coordinating the government’s effort to support the plan set by the Ministry of Health to confront the epidemic, especially with regard to increasing the vaccine distribution, to double the number of outlets for receiving doses, and to overcome technical obstacles and administration to supply more vaccines from solid global sources, impose preventive measures in the country, and prepare quarantine centers for emergency cases.
It added, “The Ministry of Health announced, according to the data received from the World Health Organization, the effectiveness of the imported vaccines, confirming that no negative side cases were recorded in Iraq for any citizen due to receiving vaccines.”
The cell called on all local media and civil society organizations to urge citizens to hurry up to receive the vaccine; In order to restrain the third wave before it enters.
The third wave is considered one of the most dangerous waves that Iraq is witnessing. The World Health Organization confirms that it may witness the largest spread in Iraq since this epidemic entered the country in 2020.
