Baghdad The Spokesman for the Council of Ministers and Minister of Culture, Hassan Nadhem, confirmed that the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, sent to the Parliament a candidate for the Ministry of Health.
He said in the weekly press conference that the Parliament is concerned with this and the ball is in its court, and it must follow up this issue.
Nadhem added that the task of the current government is to hold the elections on their announced date, and it is continuing to do so because it is the basis of its work.
He stated that the government is interested in early elections, and today the commission and the administrative undersecretaries were hosted in order to support the commission to overcome the difficulties it was facing, and the exciting ones were overcome with regard to cadres and others.
He explained that the government is going ahead with the issue of electrical interconnection with neighboring countries, especially that the Gulf interconnection negotiations have reached an advanced level.
Nadhem pointed out that the Council’s session hosted today the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Adel Karim, who presented a report on the status of electricity, which is witnessing continued production and distribution.
Karim, according to Nadhem, presented a plan for the coming year in order not to fall into the mistakes of previous governments by presenting a set of ideas that were supported by the Council.
He continued that the Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for the Economy to rehabilitate the modern Baghdad electricity line, and work has been resumed by the Ministry of Electricity.
Regarding the victims of Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in Nasiriyah, the council voted / according to Nadhem / to include the victims in the pension rights law for the employees of the Ministry of Health.
He continued, “the disasters we are going through are an effective act of blowing up electricity towers and what is behind them, in addition to fires and uncontrolled weapons aimed at weakening the state.”
Nadhem noted that there is a lack of implementation of the strict measures of the government and the Prime Minister in monitoring safety measures, including those with hastily built hospitals for Corona patients.
