Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the Minister of Health discuss procedures for including journalists in free treatment in government hospitals

Baghdad The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Head of the Union of Arab Journalists, met today with the Minister of Health, Dr. Salih Al-Hasnawi. During the meeting, they discussed the procedures for the Union’s request to include journalists in free treatment in the private wards of government hospitals, exempt them from surgical fees, allocate free treatment for those with chronic diseases, and the possibility of facilitating treatment procedures to those who require treatment outside Iraq.

During the meeting, Al-Lami affirmed the Syndicate’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and its institutions to advance the health situation in Iraq.

For his part, the Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, praised the active national role of the Syndicate at all levels, in addition to the role of the media in raising health awareness among all.
